How to Become a Member Program or Facility:

It’s easy to become a member facility or program, but it is also important that we ensure that everyone has a firm understanding of what inclusion is and what inclusion looks like in an adaptive sports and recreation environment.

All you need to do is attend one of our certification seminars in Cedar Park, or gives us a call to schedule one in your area. Training will include modern special education teaching methodologies, various educational concepts for specific disabilities and classroom management techniques (including challenging behaviors). A certification test will be required at the end of the classes.

After your certification test, you will be a member of Texas Adaptive Sports and Recreation.

Membership fees are $125.00 per year. Remember, once you’re a member TxASR will support your program with potential scholarships, adaptive equipment, and continuing education. Plus, If you have a martial arts school, you and your students will also be invited to the annual Veteran’s Day tournament to compete with peers all levels, styles, and abilities.

Please contact us to talk about opening up your facility or program to serve everyone. info@txasr.org  – 512-330-4454.
